Mahanagari Vartahar started its publication in 1993 as a weekly paper
from Navi Mumbai. It became the leading weekly newspaper of Navi
Mumbai and looking at the success, the management converted it into a
daily newspaper in 1997. It used to publish from Dadar, Mumbai as an
evening newspaper and soon became the largest circulated Marathi
evening newspaper of Mumbai.
The daily publication was changed to a monthly magazine in the year
2003 and since then, the magazine has continued in the same spirit of
service to the readers.
